Viruses/Trojans

Viruses, trojans, and other malicious programs are very often passed along through email attachments. When you open the attachment it executes the file and infects your computer. You may not know you are infected and the attachment may use your email program to send itself to others. Never open attachments unless it's something you are expecting to receive and always have your anti-virus program scan it first (see our section on internet security).

Scams

Too many to list. Just be aware that people are working night and day to come up with new ways of stealing your money. ALWAYS BE SCEPTICAL. Do some research on the web or email me if you're not sure if something is legitimate. I would be happy to help you out. Never give out personal information until you are absolutely sure it's safe (see our section on the Email Phishing scam).
